The Annual Communications programme is based on the concept of public accountability, public transparency, and continuous improvements. Annual Communications are important because:

  • They enhance the credibility and value of a company's participation in the United Nations Global Compact;
  • They are an important source of information for stakeholders on a company's environmental, social or governance-related activities and performance;
  • They are a tool for learning, sharing and inspiring Participants in the UN Global Compact;
  • They play a leadership role regarding internal and external business changes; 
  • They ensure the integrity and transparency of the UN Global Compact initiative.
