The TENP - SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN SELF-ASSESSMENT PLATFORM is a tool created by the GCNI Foundation to support business partners in the collection of information on the sustainability performance of their suppliers. The goal is to use the information shared among the partners to identify common challenges and solutions to improve sustainability within the supply chain. The platform was built with reference to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and takes into account the international standards and conventions on the most relevant corporate sustainability issues. The supplier may register and proceed with completing the questionnaire for free, either as a self-nomination or at the invitation of a partner and, at the end of the self-assessment, the supplier will receive a record sheet containing the overall score and the partial score for each assessment area: Environment, Human Rights, Anti-Corruption, and Labour. Based on the results achieved, the partners of the TenP Platform, together with the GCNI Foundation, will implement initiatives and programmes in support of the suppliers, working towards a continuous improvement in sustainability performance. The platform also allows you to make individual comparisons between the performance of your company and other companies by sector, size, and geographical region.

In November 2016, the GCNI Foundation launched the “COLLECTION OF EXPERIENCES AND CORPORATE PRACTICES RELATED TO THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs), project aimed at the publication of a Collection of Best Practices in terms of the implementation and promotion of the UN SDGs for 2030. The document will highlight the practices of 10 of the Global Compact’s Italian Network  member firms, but the Foundation is also happy to accept new expressions of interest from other profit-making organizations wishing to contribute their expertise to the project.

Through analysing and sharing such experiences, the Foundation intends to increase knowledge about sustainability issues in the SDGs era and promote and enhance strategies, policies and the most important innovative activities implemented under the Network on a national and international level.

The Report will be produced in English and presented to the public in October 2017.
