Although the UN Global Compact is aimed primarily at business organizations, cities and PA, NGOs and civil society organizations, academic institutions and business associations, are all invited to join the initiative in shaping a sustainable future.

Non-business organizations can participate in the UN Global Compact by highlighting and maximizing their support for the corporate sustainability path through various engagement tools, which include Policy Dialogues, Learning Forum, Local Networks and Partnership Projects.
