The UN Global Compact Network Italy organises the annual local round of the SDG Pioneers campaign, promoted on a global scale by the UN Global Compact with the aim of recognising a new SDG Pioneer Italy.

SDG Pioneer Italy is a Business Leader that embodies and pursues the values of the United Nations on sustainable development and is distinguished by an extraordinary commitment to the SDGs. 

In 2023, two SDG Pioneer Italy were recognized for the first time, for the Large national and multinational companies and the SMEs category, respectively.
