Friday 25th September Ca’ Foscari participates in the European Researchers' Night. This initiative is to open the doors of laboratories and studies of universities to present and to experience to citizens the research conducted by professors, researchers, PhD students, students.

Sustainable Ca 'Foscari, with the collaboration of some professor, adheres European Researcher’s Night presenting the activities carried out by students: in the main courtyard will be presented the researches in science and art developed starting from the art installation “Dancing Solar Flowers”, while in the “Spazi espositivi” members of the focus group on "Sustainable and responsible consumption" will involve visitors with tests on perceptions of sustainability and socio-cultural determinants, and fair trade: the supply chain, the zero-km and km-fair, the “water of the mayor”, the relationship between man, the city and environment and consumer protection.

Further it is online the new version of the Carbon Footprint Calculator, an interactive tool that allows to calculate the environmental impact in terms of CO2 equivalent. The authors of the review are professor Fabio Pittarello and the student Tommaso Pellegrini. The new version is complied with the principles of responsive web design and provides an interface that adapts to different devices. All users can calculate their own footprint and the students, staff and faculty of Ca’ Foscari has also the opportunity to set targets for their own improvement, review their performance and compete with the different communities of Ca’ Foscari!
