Salini Impregilo is publishing the Sustainability Report also this year. The report is a transparent communication tool aimed at satisfying the information needs of all stakeholders concerning the results in economic, environmental and social terms, confirming the commitment dedicated to sustainable development.
Through the Sustainability Report 2014, in fact, the Group plans to intensify dialogue with its shareholders, investors, clients, employees, the supply chain and communities, providing evidence on how the infrastructures represent a development opportunity for the territories and how the Group’s projects contribute to the well-being of communities by creating new jobs, professional growth, development of related industries, social initiatives and environmental stewardship.
To confirm the positive will to fully involve its stakeholders, the Sustainability Report 2014 becomes interactive for the first time from this year. The new Report was fully drawn up on a digital platform, in order to obtain a more intuitive and immediate consultation and to guarantee maximum transparency and immediacy on the most important aspects to its readers.
With its all but unlimited dissemination, the new Report presents a quick access to information, a simple and targeted view and, by using the functions that digital technology ensures, a higher degree of accessibility.
One of the first Reports in the world in the construction segment to be drawn up following the new Global Reporting Initiative (GRI-G4) guidelines, the most advanced reporting framework currently available, the Salini Impregilo 2014 Report meets the Comprehensive level of the GRI, as certified by an independent audit body.
The Report consists of four main thematic areas: excellence, shared growth, people care and environmental stewardship. It also includes a special section dedicated to case histories: sustainability best practices adopted by the Group around the world.
