On July 5-6, the Sustainable Development Goals Center for Africa (SDGC/A) organizes the conference Mobilizing African Intellectuals Towards Quality Tertiary Education in Kigali (Rwanda). Objective: the involvement of African intellectuals in identifying solutions and actions aimed at improving the areas of school and university education, research, funding and cooperation. All in the light of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Among the key speakers are: Mr. Aliko Dangote, Owner Dangote Group and Co-Chair of SDGC / A Board; Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs, Director of Sustainable Development Solutions Network; Her Excellency Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General, United Nations.
The Conference includes four thematic sessions: 1. The Enabling Environment in Education - Excellence in Teaching and Learning; 2. Research - Scholarly Work; 3. Building Reputable University Systems in Africa; 4. Knowledge for Development - Transforming Societies.
FEEM participates in the conference within the framework of its scientific networking activities and commitment to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda’s Goals.
