In the light of the workprogram carried out by the Global Compact Network Italy Foundation (GCNI Foundation) and its results which were filed during 2014, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Foundation and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)was renewed on 27th February. The MoU was signed by George Kell as Executive Director of the UNGC and Marco Frey as Chairman of the GCNI.

The Declaration of Intent, recognizing the Foundation as the main promoter of the Global Compact in Italy and coordinator of the Italian Network of the Global Compact, defines the terms of this new year of collaboration. The document also specifically committed the Foundation to continuing its work in supporting all Italian companies and organizations that have joined the Global Compact in order to be able to maximize their participation in the initiative. Throughout this year the GCNI Foundation will implement a work program divided into Working Groups for its member companies and organizations, as well as other initiatives to study and give support on issues of corporate responsibility and sustainability.
